WWE has been releasing several employees including WWE Superstars for the past several months. This began with the release of Superstars such as Chelsea Green and Mickie James in April last year. An astounding number of talents have been released last year and the company had already started releasing more talents this year.
Back in June, WWE held yet another round of cuts from the company and it included several big names. Among them include the likes of Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy. Unfortunately, WWE released several Superstars again a couple of weeks ago. This included the likes of Nia Jax, Karrion Kross, Keith Lee, Mia Yim and more.
That was not all as WWE has released even more talents including John Morrison, Drake Maverick, Tegan Nox. WWE also decided to kick off the new year in the worst way possible as they released the likes of William Regal, Road Dogg, Timothy Thatcher, Danny Burch, Allison Danger, and Ace Steel along with writer Ryan Katz.
While speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, Vince McMahon talked about WWE releasing so many talents in the past couple of years. McMahon claimed the releases were nothing more than getting rid of dead weight.
”And if you have deadweight around you or situations where someone is not cutting it, and you have an opportunity for someone else to come in, it’s like, ‘Okay, that’s probably the best thing.”
WWE is determined to release as many talents as they can at this point in time and it is highly unlikely they will stop anytime soon. Unfortunately, We have to see who will be next on the chopping block.
