John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. Since 2017, John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.

When Cena started his career in WWE back in 2002, his character was viewed as a very uninspiring babyface with no personality. It wasn’t until he introduced his Dr. Of Thuganomics gimmick that Cena became a star in the company.

John Cena has inspired an entire generation of pro wrestlers and many give him a lot of respect. While speaking on Freddie Prinze Jr.’s podcast Wrestling with Freddie, MJF talked about his success in pro wrestling. MJF stated that he loves John Cena to death.

”And the thing is, Roddy Piper – one of my all-time favorites outside of John Cena. Love John Cena to death. You know John? (MJF asks Freddie Prinze Jr.) But the thing you have to understand is that is simply the price of greatness. It is not possible to always get along with people, that’s why me and John got along so well the one time I met up with him when I did extra work.”

MJF is set to square off against CM Punk in a Dog Collar match at AEW Revolution on March 6th next month. We will have to wait and see how their feud will continue to develop in the coming weeks.
