AEW Dynamite Results for March 2, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

JR welcomes us to the show and he throws it to Tony Schiavone and Tony Khan in the ring! Tony Khan thanks everybody for being here. Khan says this is the biggest week in company history and he has a huge announcement. Khan say they started AEW 3 years ago in that parking lot. 17 years before that Ring of Honor started, he has been a fan of ROH and he has become the new owner of Ring of Honor! Khan says Christopher Daniels is an AEW and ROH original. Khan stumbles over his words badly, I’m assuming he was trying to say the main event of the first ROH show was Christopher Daniels vs. Bryan Danielson and we will get that match right now!

Bryan Danielson makes his entrance. Out next is the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels!

Bryan Danielson vs. Christopher Daniels

Danielson and Daniels shakes hands, observing the code of honor. Daniels gets an armbar, Danielson bridges out, and poses to the crowd. Lock up, Daniels gets a shoulder block, arm drag, and Daniels poses like Danielson then does some jumping jacks mocking Danielson. Lock up, Danielson gets a chinlock, shoulder block, into a armbreaker. Danielson gets a pin, 2 count. Daniels with a leg lariat, then a baseball slide to the outside, Daniels hits a springboard moonsault to the outside!

Inside the ring, Danielson hits a kick off a Daniels axe handle. Danielson with kicks to the chest, Danielson with an uppercut, knee to the midsection and more posing from Danielson. Danielson with a knee to the hamstring, kick to the face, knee to the back, into a bow and arrow stretch. Daniels gets tot he ropes, Danielson with chops, Daniels chops back, Danielson with uppercuts, Daniels hits a Blue Thunder Bomb!

Daniels hits clotheslines, kick to the face, STO, Danielson gets a boot, Daniels hits the Iconoclasm, cover, 2 count. Danielson his a German Suplex, then a running strike in the corner. Danielson with chops and kicks in the corner, Daniels hits a crossbody, Danielson reverses into a pinfall, 2 count. Pinfalls back and forth, evenly matched. Strikes back and forth, Daniels with jabs, Danielson with a hard palm strike, then a rolling elbow, cover, 2 count.

Danielson rakes the eyes, then pushes Daniels off an hurricanrana, Daniels hits a Flatline, then goes for the BME, Danielson reverse into a triangle sleeper! Danielson with elbows to the head, Daniels has passed out!

WINNER: Bryan Danielson!

Danielson gets a mic, says 20 years since the first ROH show, Daniels and him were in the main event. They started matches with a handshake and they ended matches with a handshake, Danielson shakes Daniels hand while he is still laid out. Danielson says he isn’t in ROH anymore and its time to kick somebody’s head in! Danielson stomps on Daniels head! Danielson shouts for Moxley and says at Revolution he will stomps Moxley’s head in.

Jon Moxley’s music hits and he walks out through the crowd. Moxley says he sees Danielson is better than ever, he is more violent than ever. But there is two paths he can walk, you think he’ll get his head kicked in but that isn’t gonna happen. He will walk another path, he will walk through Danielson. He will beat Bryan Danielson. The story of Jon Moxley is just beginning and he will write the first chapter this Sunday in blood. If you wanna prove him wrong, take your shot. Danielson drops the mic and squares up to Moxley before leaving the ring.

Sting and Darby Allin are backstage. Sting says there will be fines and suspension for anybody who gets involved in their match on Sunday. Darby says that wont be a problem. They will steal the show because there in nobody more psychotic than us.

Commercial Break.

FTR make their entrance for the Casino Tag Team Battle Royale. Out next is Top Flight! Darius Martin makes his return to AEW!

Casino Tag Team Battle Royale

FTR attack first, beating down Top Flight in the corner. Top Flight hit double dropkicks, Dante Martin hits a double springboard dropkick. Top Flight hit combination strikes, double hurricanrana.

The next entrant is… The Acclaimed.

Caster raps on his way to the ring, making fun of ROH and Glen Jacobs tweets. Bowens takes out Darius, double dropkick. Dax takes out Bowens, Cash hits uppercuts in the corner.

The next entrant is… Dark Order’s Alan Angels and 10.

Angels hits a Sliced Bread, 10 with a back body drop, Angels with a splash. 10 with chops in the corner, Dante and Caster brawl in the corner.

The next entrant is… Butcher and Blade.

Butcher and Blade run wild, and throw Angels over the ropes but he hangs on. Blade stomps on, Martin. Angels eliminated on the stage.

The next entrant is… Varsity Blonds.

Bowens with a boot to Garrison.

The next entrant is… Santana and Ortiz.

Santana and Ortiz run wild on Bear Country, eliminting Bear Bronson, the Boulder as well. FTR try to eliminate them but they hang on. Bowens throws Garrison over the ropes but he hangs on, Caster is eliminated.

The next entrant is… Best Friends.

Trent with chops to Bowens, Dante escapes an suplex, Dax hangs on the ropes upside down. Garrison dropped on the ropes. Bowens eliminates Garrison.

The next entrant is… Dark Order’s Evil Uno and Stu Greyson.

Uno and Greyson save 10 from being eliminated, Santana eliminates Blade. Top Flight throws Trent over the ropes but he hangs on, Greyson eliminates Butcher. FTR hit the Big Rig on Bowens.

The next entrant is… The Young Bucks.

The Bucks slowly walk to the ring, FTR face them down. They face off before everybody runs at both teams.

Austin with clotheslines all round, they celebrate before being hit with the Big Rig, FTR and the Bucks work together to eliminate them. FTR and the Bucks with strikes to each other.

The next entrant is… Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson.

Double DDT’s to the Wingmen. Big spinebuster to Bowens, Bowens eliminated 10. Taylor eliminated by Ortiz. The Wingmen are throw out by the Bucks. Greyson eliminated by Bowens.

The final entrant is… 2point0.

2point0 slowly get in the ring, then go for stomps on Uno. Brock Anderson eliminated, the Johnson eliminated too. Top Flight take out Bowens. Trent pulls Uno over the top rope, strikes back and forth on the apron, Uno with an eye poke, Danhausen appears out of nowhere and puts a curse on Uno, Trent theme eliminates Uno much to the disgust of JR. Parker is hanging on the apron before Santana kicks him out of the ring, Lee is also eliminated, 2point0 pulls Santana and Ortiz out of the ring.

Matt Jackson with a clothesline to Trent eliminating him. Darius and Dax brawl in the corner, Cash throws Dante over the ropes but he hangs on, Cash powerbombs Dante over the ropes but Dante hangs on with the legs and both men get eliminated. Matt Jackson clothesline Dax over the ropes but he hangs on, reDRagon comes out and distract Dax, the Bucks hit double superkicks on Dax, eliminating him.

Final three, The Young Bucks and Darius Martin.

Martin tries to fight off both Bucks, but they get the better of him, Martin with a flying forearm, Nick with kicks to the midsection Martin with a springboard back elbow, then a C4! Martin clothesline Nick over the ropes but Cutler catches him, Martin does eliminating Nick and then nearly eliminates Matt but he hangs on. Matt throws Martin over the ropes but he hangs on. Martin tries a suplex , both men with strikes on the apron, Matt hits a low blow! Matt with a superkick and Martin falls to the floor.

WINNER: The Young Bucks!

reDRagon celebrate with the Bucks. the Buck give them fist bumps. Jurassic Express come out and stare down the Bucks from the stage.

Chris Jericho is backstage. He says the entire world is buzzing about his match at Revolution last week. Jericho says Kingston is finally becoming a big star but its hard to relate to him since he has been a big star all along. In AEW he is the Big One. Does Kingston think he has what it take to beat him? If Kingston can beat him, he will shake his hand and tell him he has his undying respect but if he doesn’t he will laugh at him and tell him to GFY. Santana and Ortiz appear, Jericho offers a fist bump and they take up. Jericho asks if they are good, then they walk away.

CM Punk makes his entrance. Punk says he used to wake up, look himself in the mirror as ask if he was the bad guy. He never really had an answer, until a week ago he was certain Max was the bad guy. What Max did last week, bearing his soul on national TV take courage. But he cant shake the feeling he is being gas lit. He doesnt think Max is lying but he questions his sincerity. He doesnt know if it matters. There isa famous picture of Punk very young with Steve Austin. After lesser men framed Austin fro taking his ball and going home., Punk didn’t judge him.

He has seen MJF take out Dean Malenko who suffers from Parkinson. He has seen Max say awful things of Bran Pillman and Darby Allin’s uncle. Is Punk Dr Frankenstein and MJF is the monster? There is nothing he can say but there is something eh can do. He wants Max to come out here to talk. MJF walks to the ring.

Punk says he has done horrible thing, he used to be MJF, he was so full of hate. He pour alcohol down and alcoholic mouth. He poured the ashes of Paul Bearer over the Undertaker. MJF’s hate will eat him up, respect isn’t given its earned. This is bigger than wrestling, this is about an 11 year old kid who looks up to MJF they way MJF looked up to Punk. This morning he asked himself if he was the good guy. The answer was he sure is trying. Punk offers a handshake… MJF hugs him! Punk doesn’t move, and then hugs him back!

MJF kicks Punk between the legs! MJF hits the Heatseeker piledriver, then takes off his shirt to show a shirt of the picture of him and Punk when he was younger. MJF calls out Spears and Wardlow. They give him the diamond ring, MJF hits him with the Diamond ring. MJF tees off on Punk, security try to run down but FTR fight them off. Punk ahs been busted open, MJF throws him out of the ring. Spears ties the dog collar on Punk and hang him from the ropes. MJF gets a mic and calls Punk a stupid old man, he is a snake. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was make people believe he didn’t exist (that’s one of Punk’s old lines). At revolution he will prove he is the devil himself. Spears pulls at the dog collar and then Sting and Darby run down to chase them off.

Commercial Break.

Tony Schiavone is with Keith Lee. Ricky Starks interrupts, Lee says if he gets interrupted again, there will be nothing left of Starks. Stark says if he shows up on Rampage he wont make it to Revolution. Lee says he will be there.

Britt Baker makes her entrance with Jamie Hayter and Rebel. Mercedes Martinez is out next to no reaction. Then out last is Thunder Rosa to a better reaction. All 4 women brawl on the ramp.

Martinez and Baker brawl in the ring. Martinez and Rosa work together taking out Baker in the corner. Rosa with knees in the corner. Martinez makes a cover, 2 count. Baker hits a Slingblade, cover, 2 count. Hayter tags in, stares down Martinez. Both women with shoulder blocks, Martinez gets the upperhand. Rosa tags in, chops in the corner. Rosa with a kick to the spine. Rebel grabs Rosa’s leg on the outside, Baker hits a superkick, Hayter with stomps.

Martinez tags in, runs wild on Hayter. Martinez with a T-Bone suplex, cover, 2 count. Baker tags in, rolling elbow, Hayter with a backbreaker, Baker with a heel trip, cover, 2 count. Baker with a trust kick, then into a Lockjaw but Martinez escapes. Rosa tags in and stares down Baker. Rosa with a slap, then forearms back and forth. Baker avoids a stomp, Rosa hits the Death Valley Driver, cover, 2 count as Hayter breaks the count.

Rosa with a roundhouse kick, Martinez with an Exploder suplex, Rosa hits the Fire Thunder Driver, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Thunder Rosa & Mercedes Martinez!

Marvez is with TayJay. Conti has accepted Carghill open challenge. Carghill interrupts before they can say anything. Sterling says if Conti harms a hair on Carghill’s head they will take away the opportunity. Anna Jay holds Conti back as Carghill and Sterling leaves.

Bononi gets some early strikes but Wardlow hits a Powerbomb! Wardlow hits another Powerbomb, then a third. Wardlow covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Wardlow!

Spears tries to attack Bononi with a chair but Wardlow blocks him. Spears stares Wardlow down but Wardlow doesn’t back down.

Commercial Break.

The House of Black speak from the darkness.

Marvez is with Wardlow and Spears. Spears says he still loves Wardlow, MJF comes in and says if Wardlow wins the Face of the Revolution Ladder match and win the TNT title, he will let him keep it. Its not like he will win anyway. Wardlow says its because he is too busy helping MJF win. MJF slaps him, tells Wardlow he is not a wrestler, he is his bodyguard. Without him, Wardlow would be on the street.

Adam Cole and reDRagon make their entrance. Hangman Page makes his entrance with Jon Silver and Alex Reynolds.

Trios Match: Hangman Page, Jon Silver & Alex Reynolds vs. Adam Cole & reDRagon

Page and Cole start, stare each other down then Cole tags in Fish. Page ducks under a kick then hit right hands, Page with stomps in the corner. Fish with a knee to the midsection. O’Reilly tags in. Silver with right hands, O’Reilly strikes back, Silver hits a suplex. Reynolds tags in, double team attack on O’Reilly. Reynolds with a dropkick to O’Reilly, cover, 1 count. O’Reilly with big strikes to Reynolds, tags in Cole.

Cole with right hands to Reynolds, tags O’Reilly back in. O’Reilly with an abdominal stretch, Fish helps out behind the refs back. Reynolds with a hip toss, tags in Page. Page with right hands to O’Reilly, O’Reilly escapes the ring. Fish tags in, kicks Page from behind. Cole tags in, Page blocks the Panama Sunrise, covers back and forth, Cole with a kick to the knee. Page ducks under the Boom and Cole escapes the ring.

Cole with a headlock to Silver, Silver fights up and Cole hits a neckbreaker, cover, 2 count. Cole pushes Reynolds off the apron into the barricade. Silver with kicks to O’Reilly, O’Reilly sweeps the leg and gets a heel hook. Fish tags in, Silver kicks him away. Page tags in, Coles backs out and tags in O’Reilly. Page takes out Fish, Fall away Slam to O’Reilly, dive onto Fish. Page hits a Sit Out Powerbomb, cover, 2 count.

Page with a lariat, Cole tags in, Page goes face to face with Cole. Right hands back and forth, all 6 men come in and brawl. Fish with a back elbow, Silver with a leg lariat, kicks to Cole, Cole hits a neckbreaker, Page hits a huge lariat to Cole. Cole hits an enziguri, Reynolds tags in, Cole with a pump kick, Reynolds with a high knee, running boot corner. Cole hits a superkick, then hits The Boom, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Adam Cole & reDRagon!

Cole continues the attack after the bell. Page tries to fight them off, goes for the Buckshot on Cole but fish takes out his legs. Cole beats down Page in the ring. reDRagon duct tapes Page to the ropes. They make Page way at reDRagon hit he High-low on Silver, Cole hits the Panama Sunrise on Reynolds. Cole hits a superkick on Page, then another superkick. Cole picks up the AEW World Championship, puts it on Page shoulder and tells him it belongs to me. Dynamite goes off the air as Cole and reDRagon celebrate.
