Rosa has been touted as one of the best in-ring female performers in recent memory. She truly made a name for herself in a Lights Out match against Britt Baker earlier last year. It seems Rosa has huge ambitions for a future title run as well.

On top of that, Thunder Rosa is a legitimate fighter as she has competed in the MMA world as well. Her last fight took place on November 8, 2019, where Thunder Rosa squared off against Nadine Mandiau at Combate Americas: San Antonio, dropping a unanimous decision.

While speaking during an interview with Denise Salcedo, Thunder Rosa talked about becoming the AEW Women’s Champion. Rosa revealed that she wants to be a champion in the same way Kenny Omega was as the AEW World Champion.

“Some of the of the matches I have envisioned and some of the things I would love to do…when I was NWA (Women’s) Champion, I was a fighting champion, I went out everywhere. I defended the thing during COVID times. I found a way to make it relevant and I want the AEW women’s division, kind of like Kenny Omega was doing, I would love to do something like that. I think we haven’t had a champion like that, and I think I have what it takes to be that. I have the grit, the determination, the consistency, everything is developing with Thunder Rosa.”

Thunder Rosa is set to challenge Britt Baker for her AEW Women’s Championship at AEW Revolution on March 6th. We will have to wait and see whether Thunder Rosa will be the one to dethrone Britt Baker or not.
