Ricochet Getting Huge Push On WWE SmackDown

Ricochet has been one of WWE’s most puzzling superstars. The high-flying athlete has an enormous amount of talent. WWE just hasn’t been able to find the right time or the place for a major push.

Fans who have followed Ricochet’s career since his independent days know what he’s capable of. Many have wondered if he wouldn’t be better off somewhere else. Ricochet has stuck with the company through several mass firings, so WWE sees something in him.

That push has likely already started. Mike Johnson of PW Insider responded to reader questions about Ricochet’s status in the company. Fans wanted to know why Ricochet was put over so heavily last week. It turns out WWE sees him as one of the top babyfaces on SmackDown.

“We have had some readers ask why Ricochet got such a big push last week.  There’s a very good explanation for that.  Currently, he’s slated as the number two singles babyface for the entire Smackdown brand interrnally, behind only Drew McIntyre.  Before anyone asks, New Day as well as Shinsuke Nakamura are all listed as part of tag teams internally.”

It seems like Ricochet could be getting his sink-or-swim moment in WWE soon. There is no denying he has what it takes to be a top player for any promotion. Now he will finally get his chance.

With WrestleMania just around the corner, there is no better time for a push to start. Ricochet will hope to take advantage of the increased exposure as much as he can. Time will tell if he can break through as a major star in WWE.
