Matt Hardy is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in various promotions in his career. He is currently under his Big Money Matt persona in AEW and remains a highlight. It seems he commented on Cody Rhodes’ absence as well.

Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi departed from AEW earlier this month and even now, fans and pro wrestlers alike continue to discuss their departure and what they will do next.

While speaking on a Bleacher Report interview, Matt Hardy talked about Rhodes Rhodes leaving AEW. Matt Hardy admitted that he thinks AEW will be quite weird without Cody Rhodes there.

“Cody’s obviously one of the forefathers of AEW: him, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. They were kind of the guys that were leading the charge as far as creating AEW and they got with Tony Khan and he made things happen and made AEW a reality. It’s going to be really interesting and I wish Cody the best in whatever he ends up doing, but it’s going to be very weird not having him around in AEW. I’m sure whatever he ends up doing, he’ll kill it and be great at it.”

We will have to wait and see whether Cody Rhodes will end up in WWE or not as all signs point towards him debuting in the company at WrestleMania 38 or right after that.
