WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is regarded as one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever competed inside the squared circle. His contributions to the world of professional wrestling will always be remembered. It seems one of his old adversaries is excited about his possible return as well.
As reported earlier, WWE is discussing a WrestleMania 38 match for Steve Austin and the company is already working under the assumption that Steve Austin vs Kevin Owens is a done deal.
Since then, fans and pro wrestlers alike have been discussing Steve Austin’s possible return to the squared circle since his retirement back in 2003. While speaking on The Kurt Angle show, Kurt Angle addressed Steve Austin possibly returning to the squared circle.
The Olympic Gold Medalist made it clear that he is very excited for his possible return, as long as Steve Austin is healthy enough to compete in a match.
“Yes! You know what? I’m surprised, and I’m not surprised. I mean, he has been out for so long. As long as he is healthy and he is able to do it, I’m looking forward to it. I think we will see Steve Austin’s return. This is going to be incredible.
Itmakes perfect sense for Owens to be his opponent. Stunner vs. Stunner, you know, Kevin Owens took Stone Cold’s finish, and I think that’s probably the best match-up for Stone Cold at this particular time. And Kevin Owens, he could go in that ring. He is very athletic, especially for his size.”
WWE is currently waiting for Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins’ tag team program to end before they get started on Owens and Austin’s feud. It remains to be seen when WWE will start booking Owens and Austin for WrestleMania 38.
