The biggest news to come out of the wrestling world is that Cesaro has quietly left the WWE. The Swiss wrestler is regarded as one of the most talented yet underutilized performers in the company’s history.

While the real life Claudio Castagnoli has yet to release a public statement regarding his exit from the multi-billion dollar conglomerate, he is continuing to receive praise from peers and fans alike.

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre recently talked about Cesaro’s departure from the company. While McIntyre is gutted to see his friend leave, he is confident in the Swiss Superman’s ability to thrive anywhere he goes.

“That’s a shame. So many people come and go from the company, I’m one of them, and we always see each other down the line, but it sucks more when it’s a friend and somebody that you really want to wrestle,” he said during an interview on The Kliq podcast.

“That was my number one match, I think it was his number one match. We’ve both and wrestling for 20 years, but never had a singles match. So we’re gonna be a bit longer, it’ll happen eventually. But, you know, he’s got his family. He’s got his new kid, and he’s going to be just fine. He is far too talented not to be.”

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cesaro leaving the company was more of a WWE decision as he didn’t necessarily want to leave like Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn or AJ Styles.
