Brian Cage honed his craft in various promotions before making his way to AEW. The Machine is known to call out various pro wrestlers he wants to face in the future. It seems Brian Cage debunked a recent rumor regarding his AEW contract status as well.

Cage was engaged in a feud with Team Taz after he was betrayed by them back in July last year. Cage was usually prominently featured on AEW television but his wife isn’t a fan of his booking in AEW as she ranted about it on social media. This even led to some heat on him.

A recent report stated that Brian Cage had opted for a one-year contract extension with AEW. Brian Cage took to Twitter and commented on the rumor, as he debunked signing a contract extension.

Fightful has stood by their previous reporting on this situation.

Brian Cage has not been seen on AEW television since losing a street fight to Ricky Starks on the October 6 episode of Rampage last year. With his contract set to expire soon, perhaps he will end up leaving AEW for good.
