Cody Rhodes was one of the mainstays of AEW television and an integral part of the company behind the scenes as well. It is not a stretch to say he helped build AEW into what it is right now over the past couple of years. It seems Ric Flair believes WWE will welcome back Cody Rhodes with open arms. After all, Vince McMahon’s company has welcomed The Nature Boy back enough times for him to know.
As reported earlier, Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi have departed from the company earlier this month. This move was not expected by fans and pro wrestlers alike and it remains one of the main topics of discussion right now.
While speaking on his Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair talked about Cody Rhodes leaving AEW. Ric Flair stated that he believes WWE will welcome back Cody Rhodes with open arms.
“I’m sure they’ll welcome him with open arms. There’s no way it couldn’t be a good move for him. He made himself on his own, then he went to work with AEW, made himself even bigger, and then why not bring back Cody Rhodes, son of Dusty Rhodes. It’s huge.”
WWE has already dropped several hints on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. With all signs pointing towards Cody Rhodes making his way to WWE, we will have to see how he will fare in the company.
