WWE has been promoting WrestleMania 38 as the biggest WrestleMania ever. The Texas-sized event will treat fans to live episodes of SmackDown and Monday Night Raw, the Hall of Fame ceremony, NXT: Stand and Deliver, and two nights of WrestleMania. WWE is bringing in huge names like Stone Cold Steve Austin and the controversial Logan Paul for the event. Such a huge spectacle requires a lot of money.
WWE has announced that for the first time, WrestleMania will have two presenting sponsors. The brands involved this year are Snickers and WWE2K22. A WWE-style feud even occurred between Snickers and WWE2K22 on Twitter.
AdWeek noted that the two sponsors had a back and forth on the social media platform over which was the true presenting sponsors. Of course, it was all a work as well as a marketing gimmick. WWE head of global sales and partnership Claudine Lilien gave a statement about the partnership deal.
“WrestleMania 38 in Dallas will be the most stupendous two-night WrestleMania in history, so it seemed fitting to bring together two of our longest-reigning brand partners. The 360-degree partnership with Snickers and WWE 2K22 will provide maximum reach with activations across our broadcast, digital and streaming assets, as well as our world-renowned roster of WWE Superstars.”
Representatives from both brands said they are extremely excited about the sponsorship. WWE has been looking for ways to increase revenue. Having two presenting sponsors for the biggest show of the year is certainly one way to achieve that.
