For many, Shawn Michaels was The Undertaker’s greatest adversary, as the two produced magic every time they met inside the squared circle. This is especially true for their WrestleMania 25 match, which is regarded as one of the greatest matches of all time.
While speaking on the Chat Grapple and Cheap Pops Podcast, referee Marty Elias revealed that The Undertaker confronted Vince McMahon after he was told his WrestleMania 25 match against Shawn Michaels was going to be only 15 minutes long and placed third on the card, right before the Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal.
”We were sitting there and ‘The Undertaker looks at Shawn Michaels and he goes, ‘Shawn, how long you been with this company?’ Shawn goes, ‘Most of my life.’ And he goes, ‘Hmm, 15 minutes? Third? That ain’t gonna fly.’ Michael Hayes, ‘Oh, hey, hey, I’m gonna go talk to Vince. Don’t worry, we’ll see if we can get it changed.”
As announced recently, The Phenom is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year. There was no doubt The Undertaker was going to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame and now fans simply can’t wait to see the legendary professional wrestler etch his name in the annals of pro wrestling history.
