Shane McMahon returned to WWE television after a long hiatus during this year’s edition of the Men’s Royal Rumble match. His performance in the match was not necessarily anything to write home about. It seems Booker T wants McMahon to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame.
Shane McMahon had a substantial amount of heat on himself for taking over the men’s Royal Rumble match booking as McMahon simply went into business for himself. After that, creative plans for Shane McMahon changed due to all that heat.
That is not all as we also reported that Shane McMahon was quietly let go by the company. Vince McMahon ultimately had no choice but to fire his son in the end. McMahon was frustrated over Vince shooting down his Royal Rumble changes.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed stars who could be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Booker T suggested Shane McMahon be inducted as well.
“Just go back to talking about Kurt Angle and that over-the-top suplex through the glass. That one right there is something that totally sticks out in my mind. As well as him jumping off the tron, that one totally sticks out in my head, as well as off the cage. The guy has got Hall Of Fame moments.”
As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE decided on Shane McMahon’s replacement when he was sent home. There is no scrambling to replace him for the time being. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Shane McMahon, as it seems he might still be involved with WWE in some capacity.
