Bryan Danielson is one of the world’s greatest professional wrestlers. Danielson has put on several extremely entertaining matches since jumping ship from WWE to AEW. The American Dragon has a long list of things he’d like to do in professional wrestling.
Bryan has always wanted to wrestle in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Danielson has reiterated this several times in the past. In particular, he is interested in competing in the promotion’s G1 Tournament.
Danielson spoke with Renee Paquette on a recent episode of Throwing Down. Bryan said that while he doesn’t have a wrestling bucket list, the G1 is something he would love to do. A forced retirement during his time with WWE made him think about the opportunity.
“I do not have a wrestling bucket list, but I really want to do a G1 for New Japan but, other than that, I don’t really in the sense of, ‘Oh, I want to do this or I want to do that.’ When I was forced to retire, what it really made me think is, ‘I don’t want to take any of this for granted.’”
The G1 is one of the world’s most prestigious annual wrestling tournaments. Wrestlers from around the globe look forward to the chance to compete with the best wrestlers on the planet. Bryan Danielson is no exception.
Danielson is familiar with working a Japanese style. Bryan spent time there in the past. Minoru Suzuki also gave him a hell of a fight in AEW. Bryan Danielson in an NJPW G1 tournament would be on a whole different level.
