Angélico is one of a handful of wrestlers that are expected to leave All Elite Wrestling (AEW) this year. President Tony Khan himself said that he won’t be able to retain all the performers within the company.
Angélico has been associated with the Jacksonville-based promotion since 2019. He has worked all major AEW programs in addition to performing at the YouTube-only AEW Dark: Elevation.
The South African wrestler recently took to Twitter to share a message with his fans. “Tomorrow I will make an official announcement regarding the rumors surrounding my career,” he said.
The South American Light Heavyweight Champion is heavily rumored to part ways with AEW after his contract expires. If he doesn’t resign, Angélico will join Joey Janela on the list of wrestlers that will leave AEW in 2022.
