Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins defeated RK-Bro on last night’s Raw to earn their way into a WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match in two weeks. Owens continued to tease his dislike for the state of Texas, but once again fans were disappointed that the start to the much-hyped feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin hasn’t officially kicked off. The WWE Universe will have to wait a little longer for that.

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s return to the ring has been one of the hottest stories in wrestling. Austin has not competed in nearly twenty years. Owens seems like the perfect opponent for Stone Cold’s return.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the upcoming feud. It was noted that things haven’t kicked off with Austin because WWE is looking to resolve the tag title situation first. That could also serve as a catalyst for the rivalry in some way.

“They didn’t really push the Austin thing too hard tonight. I mean, it was there, but I guess because they’ve got the tag team thing that they’ve got to get to first before they get to the Owens – Austin thing.:

WWE is hoping to bring in tons of huge names for WrestleMania 38. The Undertaker was recently announced for the Hall of Fame. Austin is planned to make his return in his home state. Logan Paul will team up with The Miz against the Mysterios.

No amount of celebrities would match the pop that Stone Cold Steve Austin would receive from the WWE Universe. The anticipation has been building ever since news of his comeback broke. It will have to be a little while longer, but the payoff is expected to be huge.
