Rob Conway is a former two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The former WWE superstar is probably best known for his time teaming with Sylvain Grenier as La Resistance where he was a seven-time tag team champion. Conway spent over a decade in WWE’s system. There’s nobody who knows the company’s ins and outs better.

Conway served as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center in the past. Rob has been regularly welcomed back by the company to help develop talent. The former tag team champion returned to this role last week.

Mike Johnson of PW Insider reported that Conway was in Orlando serving as a guest coach and trainer last week. Rob has made multiple returns since 2018 in the same role. Conway is still occasionally active on the independent circuit as well.

Conway won his biggest singles title, the NWA championship, in 2013. Rob parlayed that into some time with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Conway even defeated Jushin “Thunder” Liger during that run.

Rob went on to Wrestle Kingdom 8 at the Tokyo Dome with the title. Conway was defeated there by Satoshi Kojima. The title once again changed hands the next night, making Rob Conway a two-time world champion.

WWE has been hoping to make NXT the stepping stone to bigger and better things for young athletes. The combined efforts of the company’s NIL program and the continued guest coaches are hoped to create the WrestleMania main eventers of the future. Rob Conway is happy to help.
