WWE wants to make WrestleMania 38 the biggest event they can. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s return to the ring won’t be enough, because Vince McMahon’s company is still churning up ideas and plenty of pitches.

Several reports have come out in the last few weeks concerning “plans” and various pitches for WrestleMania. We have been told that there are a lot of pitches going around, but that doesn’t mean that “plans” are in place.

Ringside News exclusively reported that there was a pitch to have Kurt Angle come in and participate in an angle for Elimination Chamber. That was simply a pitch and no plans were in place. WrestleMania planning consists of a lot of pitches as well.

Brad Shepard reported that Vince McMahon is on his way back to the ring at Mania. We were not able to confirm this, but a tenured member of the creative team confirmed that “nothing is off the table for WrestleMania.”

We were given an example as absurd as “Hulk Hogan vs Linda McMahon” as something that someone will likely suggest to illustrate how anything is up for discussion at this point. Again, we must stress that nothing is off the table.

“Everything will be pitched for the next few weeks. So everything will be discussed. There are no limitations to the ideas being discussed.”

Just because something is pitched doesn’t mean it is going to happen. It might never be mentioned again either, but they are open to hearing anything at this point.

WWE is still putting WrestleMania 38 together, a card that is still very much in flux. The company is also making calls to book celebrities and any option is worth exploring at this stage of the game.
