The wrestling world is still reeling from the shocker that Cody Rhodes and wife Brandi Rhodes have parted ways with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Khan himself announced the departure of two of his longtime employees and associates.
While Cody is more than likely to show up in Vince McMahon’s WWE, Brandi may not follow in her husband’s footsteps, per Sports Illustrated. The 38-year-old recently told the outlet that she is determined to win championship gold in wrestling.
The husband-wife duo were integral in setting up the promotion in Jacksonville, something which Khan recognized in his statement, but would no longer oversee AEW’s continued rise to stardom.
Khan had picked Brandi as the company’s Chief Branding Officer. She also worked as an on-screen talent and wrestler. Brandi accompanied Cody during his feuds with top stars Chris Jericho and MJF.
Brandi may not return to WWE any time soon or, perhaps, at all, but it’s important to remember that anything is possible in the wrestling business. We’ll have to wait to see what’s next in store for the nightmare family.
