WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is regarded as one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever competed inside the squared circle. However, he wasn’t always as successful as Austin made his WWE debut as the Ringmaster. It seems a WrestleMania 38 match might already be a done deal.
WrestleMania 38 will be taking place in Dallas, Texas this year and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is expected to be there. The Bionic Redneck has already been used for WrestleMania commercials, but it seems the company has bigger plans for him as well.
As reported earlier, WWE is discussing a WrestleMania 38 match for Steve Austin. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is currently working under the assumption that Steve Austin vs Kevin Owens will take place at WrestleMania 38. It was also said to be a done deal at this point in time.
“The impression I have is the match is on. I know that backstage at WWE all day, that’s all I kept hearing about. Not ‘all’ I kept hearing about, but, I heard it early in the day and then kept checking around and more people were saying they heard the same thing. I don’t know that it’s a done deal, but people were talking like it was.
Like I said, I was not told that it was a done deal, but people were under the assumption that it was, and that promo clearly tells you that they are booking with the idea that it is happening.”
Kevin Owens also cut a promo where he mocked Texas, which might have been planting the seed for a WrestleMania 38 match against the Texas Rattlesnake. We will have to wait and see how the company will book the match in the coming weeks.
