AEW President Tony Khan recently revealed that he has more big signings in store for AEW. Khan also added that the Forbidden Door will return as well. It seems a pro wrestling veteran isn’t a fan of AEW’s latest star to walk through the Forbidden Door.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, NJPW star Jay White made his shocking debut as he helped Adam Cole and The Young Bucks beat up Roppongi Vice.

The NJPW star then made his appearance during last week’s episode of AEW Rampage, where he hit the Blade Runner on Trent as well. White made a name for himself competing in excellent matches against the top stars in NJPW, which certainly made fans excited for his arrival in AEW.

White has competed in Impact Wrestling and NJPW Strong for a while as well. While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette criticized AEW for hyping up Jay White’s arrival in AEW and saying his name as if it was John Cena.

“Jay White, has the name Jay White ever been mentioned on this television program ever? Has White even ever wrestled in the United States of America? This is a brand new guy that has never wrestled in this company, possibly never wrestled in this country and they say his name like John Cena just walked in and everybody would go, ‘Oh my god, it’s Jay White, the world’s about to change’. No seriously, I highly doubt anything will change.”

Switchblade is set to square off against Trent on this week’s episode of AEW Rampage in his in-ring debut for the company. We will have to wait and see how he will fare in the company.
