Mustafa Ali is a success story that could have been had WWE not dropped the ball with him. The former Retribution leader is one of the most talented in-ring performers in the multi-billion-dollar conglomerate.

It’s been nearly a month since Ali requested his release from the company, which has yet to oblige. Ali once again took to social media to take a dig at WWE for not letting him out of his contract.

The 35-year said he’d see his fans in 2.5 years. It seems that Ali’s current contract has made him a WWE employee for five years, or he was conned into signing a 3-year contract.

His last televised feud saw him square off with Mansoor, who would go on to pick up a victory against his mentor. Mansoor going over Ali was expected and the 205 Live alumnus was relegated to sitting in catering.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE has a limited open door for release requests. We will have to see how long it takes for WWE to grant that request for Mustafa Ali.
