Reggie Thinks Pro Wrestling Is Very Similar To The Circus

Reggie started his WWE career back in 2020, where he was Carmella’s sommelier. However, that would eventually change as he broke off on his own path and is now one of the highlights of Monday Night RAW.

The former partner of Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax now finds himself as a mainstay in the 24/7 Championship picture. WWE even had big plans for Reggie as well from the looks of it.

While speaking with Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc, Reggie revealed that he used to work in the circus before making his way to WWE. He then proceeded to compare pro wrestling and the circus, stating that they are very similar.

“Circus and wrestling are very similar, I didn’t grind in the indies in wrestling. But I grinded on the indies with circus. I would do a show in Chicago, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I would set up the tent, three shows, three shows, it wasn’t Cirque du Soleil, it was a smaller circus. Then I would drive back at night to be with my daughter. I did the indie work in circus, paying my dues.

Our coach said, ‘hey, WWE wants to do an exchange program, do any of you guys want to do it?’ I said, ‘yes I do, when is it?’ So we did the exchange on Monday, which was our day off. So I went to the Performance Center, and that whole night I was just conjuring up a little plan. I said, ‘this is my exit strategy.’ I was always looking for a way to leave the circus because I was tired of it after 16 years.”

Reggie seems to be engaged in a romantic storyline with Dana Brooke from the looks of it. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for him in the coming weeks.
