Gable Steveson’s excellent performance at the Tokyo Olympics last year helped establish himself as a well-known name in the world of sports. WWE went the extra mile in getting Steveson to sign a contract as even Vince McMahon personally met up with Steveson to sign him. It seems Steveson already has other goals beyond his WWE run as well.
WWE finally managed to sign Gable Steveson to a contract last year and put all speculation to rest as far as where the 21-year-old will go next. It was also reported that Gable Steveson signed a unique contract with WWE, which is exclusive in nature.
Prior to him signing with WWE, many fans believed that Steveson would make his way to the UFC and work for Dana White’s company. While speaking with KTSP, Gable Steveson made it clear that he wants to go to the UFC after he is done with WWE.
“I think my time has come in amateur wrestling, such as collegiate and Olympic style, my time is coming to an end. I am made for something different and that’s WWE for right now and, who knows? Maybe 10 years from now fighting in the UFC or something like that.”
We will have to wait and see whether Gable Steveson will be able to adjust to WWE’s environment and become a huge star there or not first.
