Mickie James has worked hard to establish herself as one of the best female pro wrestlers in the history of the business. Jame was released by WWE back in April last year and then she promptly made her way to NWA and then Impact Wrestling.
Mickie James would go on to become the Knockouts Champion as well. Mickie James’ appearance in the Women’s Royal Rumble was much hyped and it certainly lived up to it.
James came out as the 20th entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, as she entered to her Hardcore Country theme, wearing the Impact Knockouts World Championship around her waist. James lasted a decent amount of time until she was eliminated by Lita.
While speaking to Instant Culture, Mickie James talked about WWE’s partnership with Impact Wrestling. James stated that she thinks WWE will work with Impact Wrestling again in the future.
“I think yes [we will work together again]. I don’t know that it will be immediately, I think this was an opportunity for WWE to test the water, to see if it was something, people talk and they say ‘this will be great and this will get a lot of ratings and this will be a big buzz’ but until it’s actually in front of them I think they can’t actually see it.”
For the record, WWE set numerous restrictions on Mickie James’ Royal Rumble appearance, so perhaps a working partnership with Impact Wrestling might be unlikely at this point in time.
