Tony Khan is basking in the glory of AEW’s success. The 39-year-old promised huge surprises for the February 9th episode of Dynamite and it is safe to say that the show lived up to the hype.
Khan to Twitter to thank fans in attendance and at home for their continued support. He noted that Dynamite was the number one show on cable Wednesday and that it pulled in the biggest total audience since September.
“Thank you to everyone who watched #AEWDynamite yesterday, thanks to you + your support Dynamite on @TBSNetwork ranked #1 on cable Wednesday with our biggest total audience since September, we’re grateful for you wrestling fans! See you tomorrow on @TNTdrama at Friday #AEWRampage!”
This week’s Dynamite was filled with lots of action and drama. MFJ and CM Punk continued to sell their heated feud with a verbal spat. The Inner Circle almost imploded and “Hangman” Adam Page retained his AEW title in a brutal Texas Deathmatch against Lance Archer.
Wednesday Night Dynamite brought in 1.129 million viewers with a .41 in the 18 to 49 demographic compared to Monday Night RAW’s 1.38 million viewers on Syfy. This indicates a rise in popularity for Tony Khan’s promotion.
