There is no doubt that Jeff Hardy is truly one of the most beloved professional wrestlers in WWE’s history. Hardy continues to be a fan favorite no matter what he does due to all the blood, sweat and tears he has poured into the pro wrestling business. It seems AEW made a reference to Hardy as well recently.
Since WWE released Jeff Hardy last year, many fans had been wondering what is next in store for the Charismatic Enigma. Jeff Hardy even rejected an offer to get inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame a few weeks ago as he wanted a Hall Of Fame induction for The Hardy Boyz.
During his week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the company made a huge reference to Jeff Hardy during Keith Lee and Isiah Kassidy’s match. This is because Matt Hardy abandoned Kassidy by jumping the ringside guard rail and exiting through the crowd.
This was exactly how Jeff Hardy was said to have walked out on a WWE house show match in Edinburg, Texas back in early December. Tony Schiavone even made reference to that incident on commentary during Dynamite, saying it was an “erratic” move. This was a reference to reports that Jeff Hardy’s behavior was “erratic.”
Matt Hardy also recently hinted that Tony Khan could buy out Jeff Hardy’s contract. It remains to be seen whether Hardy will join AEW or not in the end.
