Tony Khan has promised a major free-agent signing for this week’s AEW Dynamite. The AEW head has also said that the new signing will take on Isiah Kassidy of Private Party to qualify for the Face of the Revolution ladder match at the company’s upcoming pay-per-view event. There has been a ton of hype and speculation about who the mystery wrestler could be.

There are plenty of possibilities. Among the names who recently became available are Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, Samoa Joe, and several others. Tony has been tight-lipped about the surprise, but he has given it endless hype.

Khan appeared on Busted Open Radio to promote the big event. TK said he has been reflecting on how best to present everything to satisfy the greatest number of fans. The show has seen some plans tinkered with as AEW tries to put its best foot forward and live up to the anticipation.

“I will say I’m gonna try and satisfy a lot of fans tonight and I’ve had a lot of thoughts over the weekend about how to do that and what that means.” He added, “I think we’re gonna have a great show. I’ve pivoted some plans even in the last few days in a good way to make the show even better I think.

It’s just gonna be an awesome night. There’s a lot of fun things already announced and then there’s more things we’re gonna do that we have not announced yet.”

AEW fans will only have to wait a few more hours to find out who will walk through the forbidden door. Tony Khan has given the debut a lot to live up to. We’ll learn the identity of the newest AEW star tonight at 8 PM on TBS!
