Nia Jax was one of the mainstays of the WWE women’s division ever since she was called up to the main roster in 2016. Before that, she also had a decent run on NXT where she competed against top talents such as Asuka. It seems she made an interesting claim as well.
Nia Jax was last seen on the September 20th edition of Monday Night RAW where Shayna Baszler took her out. Many fans wondered when she would return to WWE television, but that will no longer happen as Jax was released by WWE last year.
Prior to her release, Nia Jax gained infamy for being unsafe to work with and hurting her opponents. Fans believed she would avoid punishment due to being related to The Rock.
While speaking on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, the former WWE Superstar claimed that her family did not have her back whatsoever following her release from the company last year.
“It was like, ‘Oh, she’s not going to lose her job because she’s related to Rock.’ You’ve got everybody under the sun ripping me to shreds with all that. It’s funny because it’s so far from the truth. So far from the truth. Vince didn’t have an issue. He knew, ‘shit happens, we’re going to make the best of it.’ Whatever family members they thought supported me, were opposite, did not have my back.
Trust me, I did not have any support with me in this business for a long time. It sucks because you’re family and it is what it is. I didn’t mind it too much because I thought I was creating something on my own. I always pay homage to the family, we have an insane and incredible lineage. The legacy will on forever. Charlotte, Tamina, Nattie, we all want to put our own footprint on it. It’s fine if you don’t want to have my back or support me. I want to do this on my own. I wanted to be like everybody else when I first got signed. I didn’t tell anybody who I was related to.”
Jax also previously revealed that she is planning an entirely different career after her release from WWE. Nia Jax also previously refused to acknowledge her run in WWE. It remains to be seen what is next in store for her.
