Cody & Brandi Rhodes Blasted For Emulating Triple H & Stephanie McMahon’s Authority Storyline

Cody Rhodes is one of the mainstays of AEW television and an integral part of the company behind the scenes as well. Rhodes has certainly honed his craft over the years in numerous ways.

For the past few months, Cody Rhodes has been on the receiving end of a lot of hate from fans. Fans showered boos on him during every appearance and called for him to turn heel.

He is not the only one as fans are also sick of his wife Brandi Rhodes and regularly boo her whenever she appears on AEW television. Brandi Rhodes also talked down to Dan Lambert on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which was met with a lot of boos as well.

While speaking on his podcast, Experience, Jim Cornette criticized Cody and Brandi Rhodes for emulating Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s Authority storyline in AEW.

“I genuinely believe that is what they did with Stephanie, with Stephanie slapping them and talking down to them, and they just could not do anything back. If the person cannot get retribution on the obnoxious female character, just do not let the obnoxious female get one over on the person that can’t get retribution. Now Triple H is home, laid up and forgot about, Stephanie is off giving speeches somewhere. Cody and Brandi Rhodes have pretty much emulated Triple H and Stephanie.”

The Authority era of WWE is considered one of the worst aspects of the company in the last decade. Regardless, Cody and Brandi Rhodes will continue to be featured on AEW television and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
