Shinsuke Nakamura made a name for himself in NJPW, where he was the King Of Strong Style and touted as one of the best pro wrestlers in the world. He would eventually sign with WWE and has had a decent career in the company so far. It seems his run has been criticized yet again.

Shinsuke Nakamura is currently the WWE Intercontinental Champion since winning it back in March of last year. Since then he has largely done anything as the champion and usually just competed in tag team matches.

During this past week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Nakamura defeated Jinder Mahal in a singles match and from the looks of it, Sami Zayn is likely to get involved in the Intercontinental Championship mix.

While speaking on Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell talked about Nakamura’s booking and criticized WWE for making fans not care about Nakamura and the Intercontinental Championship.

“I genuinely do not believe anybody cares, to tell you the truth, about that championship. I do not think a single person cares about Rick Boogs, or whatever his name is, and Nakamura. I don’t think nobody cares now. They just let them languish. They just them languish there not doing anything with them.”

It remains to be seen whether Nakamura will ever be given a main event level push in the future as he stated he wants a full-fledged feud with Roman Reigns.
