Shane McMahon may have took after his Vince McMahon when it comes to being the most despised figure in the wrestling industry. The former “Boy Wonder” has been getting tremendous heat as of late.
Ringside News exclusively reported that the younger McMahon was quietly “let go” by his father over his behavior backstage at the Royal Rumble. Shane was the head writer and producer for the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
His controversial booking decisions as well as fallout with other producers did not sit well with many including Vince and the boss was left with no choice but to sent his son packing.
Shane’s antics may have got him intro trouble, but a former WWE writer is empathizing with the 52-year-old. Vince Russo, who was WWE’s head writer during the Attitude Era, believes it’s time for Shane to start his own wrestling promotion.
Russo took to Twitter to share his opinion known on the whole Shane McMahon situation. He said Shane had the “experience/funds/know how and intellegence” to bring a wrestling company into existence. Check out the tweet below:
