Roman Reigns was on a roll since his return to the company back at WWE SummerSlam in 2020. He returned as the Tribal Chief and truly reinvented himself. The change was several years in the making as fans clamored for it for so long.
The Head of the Table has certainly been very dominant as the WWE Universal Champion as he has remained the champion for well over a year now. It is unlikely he will be losing the title anytime soon from the looks of it. He has competed against several top WWE Superstars throughout that time.
Paul Heyman betrayed Brock Lesnar at the WWE Royal Rumble event, costing him the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley as he aligned himself to Roman Reigns again.
While speaking on After the Bell, Paul Heyman provided an explanation as to why Roman Reigns is a bigger bet for the future than Brock Lesnar. It is ultimately due to his pedigree.
“What makes Roman Reigns a bet for the future, even against Brock Lesnar, is that – A) Roman Reigns is also a D1 athlete. B) No pun intended, or maybe all puns intended for the name of the crew that surrounds the Tribal Chief, it is simply a Bloodline. His father and his uncle were extraordinary athletes in a day when they were presented as savages.”
Brock Lesnar is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 38. We will have to wait and see how the company will book their feud till then.
