CM Punk’s debut at AEW Rampage: The First Dance last year will forever go down in history as one of the best debuts of all time. Since then Punk has already become one of the highlights of AEW television. It seems he gave some advice to professional wrestlers as well.
CM Punk has also been known to be a divisive figure when it comes to how he treats fans. Punk is also well aware of how trolls on social media function and knows how to deal with them.
While speaking with Abe Kanan of Rock 95.5 in Chicago, CM Punk talked about how he deals with trolls. Punk then advised his fellow pro wrestlers to stop trying to win against trolls.
“You can’t win. I implore all humans to understand that you cannot win [from internet trolls]. You cannot be beholden to what nameless, faceless people on the internet say about you. It doesn’t matter. You have to find inner peace and be happy with what you’re doing. I 100% am that guy. I’m stoked to be where I am. I got a lot of cool projects coming up aside from AEW.
And I get to go home to a very beautiful, smart, talented woman and my dog Larry every night. So it can’t be beat. Like Johnny 256969 on Twitter, trust me you could say whatever you want about me dude. I sucked in UFC? That’s cool, I get that video game money. So I am ok.”
CM Punk lost to MJF on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite in the critically lauded match. It remains to be seen what is next in store for Punk now that his feud with MJF might be over.
