Women’s Title Match & More Announced For WWE SmackDown Next Week

WWE SmackDown’s next week’s show will include a Women’s Championship match. It will also include a match between Natalya and Aliyah. The SmackDown Women’s Championship will be defended by Charlotte Flair as she takes on Naomi.

The fight was set today when Sonya Deville suggested it during a backstage session. Last month, Naomi attacked Deville after the Royal Rumble event. Naomi was skeptical of Deville’s claims initially.

Adam Pearce then confirmed that the match had been fixed. Aliyah and Natalya have been feuding for a few weeks now. Aliyah pinned Natalya in 3.17 seconds on SmackDown shattering a WWE record.

Natalya, who currently owns many Guinness World Records, was enraged by this. Aliyah won via count out in tonight’s match between the two. Backstage, Natalya suggested to Deville a bout in which she would face Aliyah in a match the following week that could only be won by pin-fall or submission.

The match was agreed upon by Deville. Later, Natalya went to the women’s locker room to confront Aliyah, but Xia Li walked out, terrifying Natalya. Next week’s SmackDown will be held in the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
