The rivalry between Pete Dunne and Tony D’Angelo has escalated to a breaking point. The NXT stars first met at WarGames, where the two started a violent rivalry that continues to this day. Crowbars, broken hands, and brawls haven’t been enough to keep the two apart.
Dunne ruined Tony’s shot in a number one contender’s match for the North American Championship. Dunne wound up crushing Tony’s hands with a cricket bat. Something had to give in the ongoing war.
WWE has now announced that Pete Dunne and Tony D’Angelo will square off in a steel cage match at the upcoming NXT Vengeance Day special. The two stars will finally be able to settle the score. After starting their feud in a cage, it’s appropriate that the showdown will also take place inside the dangerous structure.
WWE Vengeance Day goes down on February 15, 2022, at 8 PM Eastern. The show will air on SyFy due to NXT being bumped by the Winter Olympics. You can check out the full card below:
