Brie Bella Explains Why She Did Bryan Danielson’s ‘Yes!’ Chant During WWE Royal Rumble

Nikki Bella is one of the most beloved female WWE Superstars in the history of the company, especially by her Bella Army. Her neck was getting better by the day and this made fans hopeful for a return to the squared circle. Brie Bella is also loved by fans.

After a lot of waiting, fans finally got their wish as it was announced that the Bella Twins were going to make their return to WWE for the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year.

Brie Bella and her sister Nikki Bella both memorable performances in the Women’s Royal Rumble match but were ultimately eliminated. During one instance of the match, Brie Bella did Bryan Danielson’s signature ‘Yes!’ chants as the crowd was fully invested in what Brie Bella was doing.

While speaking on The Bellas Podcast, Brie Bella opened up about doing the ‘Yes!’ chants during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Bella stated that she wanted to feel her husband Bryan Danielson in the match as well.

“When I started to hear people say, ‘Yes!’,” Brie Bella said. “In my head, I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m gonna go with this.’ Because I was gonna go into my Brie Mode knee, but I’m like, no, I’m gonna go with the ‘Yes!’ chant because one thing about my husband, he has a huge presence.

‘And when I hear the ‘Yes!’ chant, I immediately think of him. And it made me just feel him in that moment. So when I do the ‘Yes!’ chant, (…) I do it because I feel my husband in that moment. And my husband to me is more than just Daniel Bryan more than just Bryan Danielson. He’s a soulmate. And so feeling that energy of the crowd it makes me get teary-eyed and emotional too when I do that; it’s like he’s right next to me.”

Nikki Bella can also wrestle more matches after the Women’s Royal Rumble match. We will have to wait and see if Brie and Nikki Bella will go after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles or not in the future.
