Ronda Rousey made her debut in WWE at the end of the 2018 edition of the Royal Rumble after transitioning from the world of UFC. She went on to win the WWE RAW Women’s Championship, which she held for six months before losing it at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
At a forthcoming SmackDown live event in Laval, Quebec, Ronda Rousey will team up with SmackDown Superstar Sasha Banks. During tonight’s RAW’s commercial break, it was revealed that Rousey and Banks would face SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler at a SmackDown live event in Canada on March 6.
Fans on social media remarked on how close Rousey and Baszler would be if they were on opposing sides. Given that Rousey is expected to fight Flair at WrestleMania 38, the tag bout might be part of a larger storyline leading up to the main event.
Rousey promised RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch on this week’s RAW that she would reveal her WrestleMania 38 opponent on SmackDown this Friday. Rousey will make her SmackDown on FOX debut, as previously said. Stay tuned for a complete calendar of Ronda Rousey’s matches leading up to WrestleMania 38.
