Kofi Kingston is certainly a proper veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in WWE for over a decade. He has competed in several memorable matches and won various championships. It seems WWE had a huge spot planned for Kofi Kingston during this year’s Royal Rumble.

Apart from his singles run, which saw him win the WWE Championship, among other titles, he is still a member of The New Day. The group remains one of the most popular tag teams in the history of pro wrestling.

Kofi Kingston is always the highlight in a Royal Rumble match due to his creative ways of avoiding elimination. He came out as the #24 entrant in the Royal Rumble match and was shortly eliminated afterwards after a botched jump to the outside, as his feet touched the floor.

Bryan Alvarez took to Twitter and revealed that Kingston being eliminated so early was not part of the plan as WWE had a huge spot planned for him and Big E in the match.

“Kofi’s big spot was mistimed and he was legitimately eliminated when he wasn’t supposed to be, there were spots planned later with Big E out there.”

We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Kofi Kingston as his Royal Rumble appearance simply did not live up to expectations.
