Ronda Rousey made her debut in WWE at the end of the 2018 edition of the Royal Rumble after transitioning from the world of UFC. She would go on to win the WWE RAW Women’s Championship and held it for half a year until dropping it at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. After an “impregnation vacation,” the Baddest Woman on the Planet is back in WWE.
Rousey was absent from WWE television for almost three years as fans lost all hope Rousey would ever come back. However, Rousey shocked the world as she returned during the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year and won the match as well after eliminating Charlotte Flair.
The former RAW Women’s Champion took to her Instagram and uploaded a post where the former UFC Champion revealed that she knew she wanted to make a WWE return the day of her pregnancy.
I just had a baby 4 months ago…. Since the day I found out I was pregnant and calculated my due date, I knew I wanted to return to the @wwe at the #royalrumble2022
Two weeks, even two months postpartum that goal seemed crazier than ever before.
But I just missed it so much… and I so badly wanted to give Pō the same example that my mom gave to me and my sisters – she never broke stride following her dreams while having us.
Now it’s my turn.
As reported earlier, the company has major WrestleMania 38 plans for Ronda Rousey, which could see her finally square off against Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair in a singles match. It remains to be seen how Rousey will be booked now that she is back.
