WWE’s Royal Rumble premium live event is going down tonight and it is still work in progress, because plans can always change. The matches are set, but there is also the chance that some Superstars will pull double duty.
It was previously reported that Vince McMahon is making several meticulous changes to the Royal Rumble match. That includes the order of entries.
According to PW Insider, there has also been talk of adding talent from other matches to the Men’s Royal Rumble match. This could see talent appearing twice during the big show.
Over the last few days, there’s even been talk of adding talents who are wrestling on other matches on the show into the Men’s Rumble, although that’s not 100% confirmed as creative was said to be going back and forth last night and this morning.
It was pitched that Brock Lesnar might be the one pulling that double duty. This could see a very interesting situation if the Beast Incarnate enters the 2022 Royal Rumble match.
Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Champion, and he is facing Bobby Lashley tonight in St. Louis. If Lesnar is involved in the Royal Rumble match that does not guarantee that Lashley will leave the Gateway to the West’s home as champion.
