Vince McMahon is the Chairman of WWE and oversees everything that goes on in the company, right down to the most minute of details. McMahon is larger than life and is known to do the craziest of things, many of which are true. That includes his legendary midnight workouts.

McMahon’s mother Vicki Askew celebrated her 101st birthday last year and Vince McMahon even hoped to see himself as old as his mother. Unfortunately, his mother passed away as revealed by her obituary.

Vicki Askew passed away quietly of natural causes at her home in The Woodlands, Texas on 20 January. She was born on 11 July 1920 in Florence, South Carolina, and was the only daughter of parents Orpheus William Hanner and Victoria Kennedy Hanner.

Vicki gave birth to Vince on 24 August 1945 and he would go on to take over the global juggernaut that is WWE now. Vicki’s main passion was tennis and played it well into her 90s as well.

She also sang in numerous church choirs and was said to have a “beautiful soprano voice” in her obituary. Her funeral took place on 22 January and was said to be a very private affair.

A Memorial Mass for the Ebensburg community will be held on Saturday, January 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, the Rev. Brian Warchola, celebrant.

We here at Ringside News would like to offer our deepest condolences to Vicki’s family and friends during this sad time.
