Sonya Deville made her return to WWE television back in January of last year in a non-wrestling role. Since then, she has been a mainstay of Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown alongside Adam Pearce as a WWE official.
Sonya Deville last competed at SummerSlam back in 2020, where she lost a loser leaves WWE match to Mandy Rose. She also had a lot to deal with in her personal life during that time as she faced a terrible stalker experience.
Since then Deville has been engaged in a longstanding feud with Naomi. Prior to her feud, Sonya Deville used to team up with Mandy Rose as part of Fire and Desire.
While speaking in a recent interview with Metro.co.uk, Sonya Deville talked about her tag team with Mandy Rose. Deville stated that she believes teaming up with Mandy Rose is inevitable.
“I think it’s the inevitable future one day down the road. I think people wanted to see Fire and Desire with the tag team titles and have a little bit of a longer run.”
Mandy Rose is currently the NXT Women’s Champion while Sonya Deville’s feud with Naomi might have come to an end after this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
