Randy Orton’s contributions to WWE cannot be understated as he has been one of the mainstays of the company for almost twenty years now. Orton went on to solidify himself as one of the greatest Superstars in the company’s history. It seems he made an interesting comparison recently as well.
The Viper has been paired up with Matt Riddle for the past several months and remained one of the highlights of Monday Night RAW. They have also gotten closer in real life.
Orton also previously revealed how he was taken aback by Matt Riddle’s behavior during their first meeting. While speaking with BT Sports’ Ariel Helwani, Randy Orton talked about his first meeting with Matt Riddle. He then proceeded to compare Riddle’s backstage antics with Jon Moxley, who was known as Dean Ambrose in WWE.
“If I text him now, he will not respond. That is just how he is. So, we started working together, I started seeing him interact with other people, ‘Oh, sh*t, he us being smug over there with those guys, that is just weird because they’re close. Oh, that’s just him.’ There are guys like that. Dean Ambrose was like that. ‘Who the hell is this guy?’ And then you just find out he’s just a super weird dude. With Matt Riddle, what you see is what you get. I don’t have a lot of friends in this business, but I consider him a friend.”
Randy Orton and Matt Riddle are currently feuding with The Alpha Academy as Team RK-Bro is determined to gain back the RAW Tag Team Championships, which they lost to Alpha Academy earlier this month.
