Fans in attendance and on social media were livid after the match between the Tribal Chief and The Messiah of Drip (who entered the arena to Shield’s music, by the way) ended in controversial fashion, that is, via disqualification. Yes, you read that right.
Reigns had his former Shield brother in a guillotine chokehold towards the end of the match. Though Rollins managed to get a hold of the rope, The Head of the Table refused to let go, resulting in referee Charles Robinson counting it down to five and disqualifying Reigns.
The controversial ending to the much-talked about match left many in crowd and on other internet stunned and confused. Safe to say that many were less than pleased with the ending and took to Twitter to vent out their anger.
The disqualification means that Reigns gets to keep his title, which he hasn’t lost in nearly two years. As for Rollins, the former WWE Champion was beaten to a pulp by Reigns – courtesy of a steel chair.
