AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla, cannot be accused of being a small man. His experience in football leads him to believe dominance would come for him in the XFL. His time in pro football certainly helped prepare him for WWE.
A.J. Francis spoke on One on One with Jon Alba to discuss how he wrote the official Super Bowl song for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. He also revealed how much of the “true him” has been seen, and if he wants to stay in the music or wrestling business.
A.J. spoke on whether he wants to continue to pursue music or wrestling. The thing is, Francis never stopped having it be only one thing. He made music the entire time I was in WWE and he will continue to make music.
I am very capable of doing a wrestling role for anybody’s company that wants me. That’s not hard to do. I can do it 2 days a week or 10 days a week. It’s up to you. Do I think I’m done with WWE forever? No, just from some personal conversations I’ve had with people, I don’t. Do I think that I need to focus on myself right now? Absolutely. To be honest with you, I’ve been focusing on myself my whole life, so that isn’t anything new.
A.J. even did TV work while in WWE and will continue to do so in the future. The benefit of it all, he believes, is that he would no longer have to limit myself to only wrestling. A.J. Francis was fired from the WWE in November as part of the company’s financial cuts, but only time will tell where he will wind up in the future.
