The WWE Day 1 pay-per-view was a night of incredible highs and terrible lows. It also featured a lot of changes due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak in the company. It seems Ridge Holland finally got surgery recently as well.
Ridge Holland teamed up with Sheamus and squared off against Cesaro and Ricochet during the kickoff show. However, Ridge Holland suffered a bloody injury in the early portion of his tag team match.
Cesaro and Ricochet will face Ridge Holland and Sheamus in a new match on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, according to WWE. This is a rematch from earlier this month’s Day 1 pay-per-view event, in which Holland broke his nose after being hit by Ricochet.
Holland will be making his comeback to the ring. SmackDown will be broadcast live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO, for the Royal Rumble go-home edition.
Sonya Deville vs. Naomi, Big E & Kofi Kingston vs. Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss, and Seth Rollins’ farewell message to Universal Champion Roman Reigns before of their title fight at Saturday’s Royal Rumble event have all been confirmed for the night.
