Drew McIntyre is considered one of the top Superstars in WWE and there is no doubt he has a ton of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion. McIntyre is always open to giving advice to his peers whenever they need it.
Ever since the Royal Rumble pay-per-view back in 2020, Drew McIntyre was featured in the WWE Championship picture and that includes numerous title matches against Bobby Lashley. Many fans felt McIntyre has been in the title picture for far too long.
McIntyre lost to Bobby Lashley during this year’s Hell In A Cell pay-per-view and that finally brought an end to him being in the WWE Title picture all the time, much to the relief of fans.
While speaking with BT Sport, Bobby Lashley gave huge props to Drew McIntyre and added that he believes that The Scottish Warrior will eventually get to the level of The Rock and John Cena.
“Drew has really impressed me, all the way across the board. Just developing into a character, his look, (…) I think he is figured out a lot of things and the things he has figured out has made him a Superstar. I think he is one of the guys that are gonna transcend the wrestling business and be bigger than anything.
He’s gonna get to that level of the Cena’s, The Rock’s, The Roman’s, and everything like that. And I really see that in Drew. And he has time, he has time to go but this year has been huge for him.”
Drew McIntyre is currently out of action due to injury and is said to be rehabbing as hard as John Cena in order to make his return before WrestleMania 38. We will have to wait and see what the company will have planned for Drew McIntyre once he returns.
