Mascara Dorada was with WWE for five years. He was one of the finalists at the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic (CWC) tournament in 2016. Dorada lost to T.J. Perkins in the finals but became one of the mainstays on 205 Live.
The former Gran Metalik requested his release from the company in the fall of 2021. He and his Lucha House Party stablemate Lince Dorada were released on November 4 of the same year.
Dorada is all set to make his in-ring return following the expiration of his noncompete clause next week. He recently posted a video of him hyping up his return to the ring.
The clip begins with an unmasked Dorada approaching and opening a bag, only to find his old lucha mask in it. The stylized video ends with him facing the camera after putting on his mask and saying “my return is coming soon” in Spanish.
Dorada was part of the Lucha House Party stable. Other members were former WWE stars Lince Dorada and Kalisto. Mascara Dorada will square off with Joey Janela on the February 19th show of Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).
