Edge Thinks One More WWE Title Reign Would Have A Rocky Vibe

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge is certainly one of the most established Superstars in the company’s history. He has done it all as far as being a pro wrestler is concerned. It seems he has an interesting take on a possible title reign again.

Since Edge returned to WWE back in 2020, he has remained a highlight of WWE television. His battles with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton received a lot of praise as well.

Edge retired as the World Heavyweight Champion back in 2011 due to a career-ending neck injury. since his return, many fans have been wondering whether Edge will have one more reign as the WWE Champion.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Edge talked about having one more reign with a major title in WWE. Edge revealed that he isn’t quite sure his character needs it. However, if he does get one, it will be a redemption story similar to Rocky.

“I can’t say that Edge needs it. When I look at the character, and I look at everything I accomplished with the character, what does one more mean? I don’t know. Is it a cool, redemptive story? This guy had it pulled away from him, and now he’s fighting to get it back. It has a bit of a feel-good, Rocky vibe to it. But if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen.”

Edge and Beth Phoenix are set to square off against The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. It remains to be seen how the match will turn out to be.
